Heidi Beth’s 40th Party Monday
Back to Minneapolis today, should arrive an hour or so before service. In any event I’m excited to get back to my family, the kitchen, and the teams. Menu tweaks coming up in February, we are drawing a lot of inspiration from the new format of the chef’s table.
Great news came yesterday concerning an exciting project we have been looking at, perhaps we’ll be able to share in the coming days the details, or perhaps we’ll need to wait a touch longer.
Most importantly it’s Heidi’s birthday party next Monday night at Heidi’s for any who would like to attend-it’s open to all, and we would love to see you, we’ll do free passed hors douvres, and a cash bar with proceeds going to breast cancer research via the Susan G. Koman foundation.
Heidi’s maternal grandmother, “Tsipi” of blessed memory, whom she is named after-hence Birdhouse as Tsipora is Hebrew for bird, passed away when she was only 37. Breast cancer has affected the vast majority of the women in Heidi’s family, and specifically at 40, so it’s Heidi’s wish that we honor her grandmothers memory by raising some dough for cancer research while we do keg stands and I dance with a lamp shade.
We have Kevin Beachem of the Current spinning records from 6 till 9, and then after that it’s Heidi’s playlist.
I truly hope that you’ll attend, one thing that is obvious to me on the road is what a great gift it is to be a part of the community where our work has been honored and valued through the years, it’s a humbling and inspiring, this Minnesota.
P.S. Could you kindly RSVP to elizabeth@heidismpls.com if you plan to attend. Thank you.
Yes you will hear this if you come, of that I have no doubt…
Happy birthday to an awesome woman! You rock, Heidi! If anyone deserves a kegstand salute, it is you.
