Yup it’s that time, time to hit the open road.  I’m outta here, Heidi stays behind to manage the ships and have some peace time of her own, without three smelly guys to keep her from her thoughts.  Meanwhile I take the boys, along with a buddy and his two kids on the road.  Two weeks of living out of a car, and tent as we camp through South Dakota, Nebraska, and mostly Colorado.

Parting thoughts? I love my job, I love the team, and as we work tirelessly to perfect our current vision, we also look to the horizon to explore new challenges, I already feel that I can’t wait to get back to work.  Without having set a foot out of the door.

“How could you do this, Stewart, you just opened a restaurant, how could you be so selfish.”  A friend asked me not too long ago.

Easy really, as much as I know my presence helps my business, the fact is that my boys will be my boys for only a few more years-not that they are ever really ours to begin with.  Pretty soon summer car trips will hold little interest.  Pretty soon dad will just be one big giant bore.  So while I have the chance, I intend to make the most of it.

Love to all.  Stay cool, and when you are really hot and want some relief imagine me sleeping in a tent sweating my ass off with no ac.

Peace and shine on…

I missed the publish button on this post. No one deserves a vacation more than him. His hard work and dedication is inspirational. Amazing to work with my Zilla. Lonely around here without my boys.
